Show Driver1965 Ford Mustang convertible
A first-generation 1965 Mustang convertible, brought over from the United States and restored to Show Driver standard in a soft powder blue with a cream interior.
## Where it started
It arrived as a rust bucket: a tired black convertible with corrosion through much of the body, as the before photo shows.
## The restoration
Around 1,200 hours of work, about 350 of them in bodywork and metal repair, led by founder Ovidiu Ionescu. The car was stripped and blasted to bare metal, the body rebuilt and repainted. The engine and gearbox, the axles and brakes, the fuelling system, the wiring and the dashboard instruments were all rebuilt, and the interior was re-trimmed from the seat frames to the carpet and soft top.
Discreet modern improvements make it easier to drive and live with, while the look stays true to 1965.
## Before delivery
Once finished, the car covered 1,000 km of test driving to settle in and prove every system before it was handed over.
